The most demanding parts are about 100 vertical meter section of 40-45° between advanced base camp and camp 2 and the short, 50° steep exposed part of the ridge after camp 4. Steep sections are secured with fixed ropes during the main climbing season. Knowledge of roped glacier traverse and basic ice and snow climbing skills are essential.
