Finals in Valence

Maja Vidmar: It looks like I made the right decision this time. One goal, one week, lots of motivation, good training and optimistic thoughts got me into the finals in Valence. Even a few days ago, all that seemed pretty much impossible.

After so many competitions in so many years, I will never forget this one. I did my best in every route, climbing until my hands couldn’t hold on anymore. My head was in the right place and at the end, I got myself a place in the finals. All I can say is that I’ve never been happier to be in the finals, it means even more to me than some podium places in the past.
The final route was like winning a big price for me. The setting was great and the crowed was crazy. This amazing atmosphere gave me extra energy and I was so excited to be part of this show, giving it all in, fighting and enjoying every second of it.
Now, I’m back home, happy that I made it this far and motivated for next competition – Kranj. Big thanks to everyone who believed in me in these days! See you in Kranj!
