Italian Piolet D'Or. We are in Italy to check out the Piolet D'Or and what it means to the people of Courmayeur. We are meeting with the organiser Carmen Manella to find out what Courmayeur brings to the party. Here's a mind blowing video of Swiss mountain guide Dani Arnold speed climbing Crack Baby, the 350m long grade 6 ice climb in Kandersteg. The first ascent was done in 1993 and the route still only sees a handful of ascents every year because good conditions are so rare. Dani obviously found them though, racing up the route in 27 minutes, 13 seconds.
